This weekend has been AMAZING! The first General Conference with President Monson as prophet. It was great! I learned so much from all of the talks, and President Monson is hilarious! He even wiggled his ears during the Priesthood Session!
So, needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), conference took up most of my weekend. Yesterday before the Priesthood session, James, my dad, and I went to Ryan's for dinner and ate WAY too much, but it was good food so it's all good. Between sessions today was a YSA potluck in Muncie, so James and I went up there for the day. It was fun to socialize and everything, but I still feel kinda "missionary-like" when I'm at church activities. I've gotta shake that off so that I can get to know people better.
Tomorrow promises to be a busy day. I've gotta take my siblings to their classes in the morning, then I'll be setting up our camper as a temporary bedroom/storage room. My mom, my sister, and I should also be taking some time tomorrow to look at apartments in Muncie, either online or in person, so that we can get one set up for the fall. I'm really looking forward to the fall - starting back up at Ball State, getting a place with Elizabeth, and getting really involved in the YSA up in Muncie. It'll be great!
Random note - my mom is in the other room doing research for 2 summer trips - one for my return trip to Canada, the other for a trip to Nauvoo. I'd love to do both, but Canada is my priority. Hopefully I'll be able to find a job soon so that I can make money for the trips, school, apartments, and everything else for which I need money. We'll see.
Random note #2 - I have created a French-language version of my blog here. I did this for 2 reasons: first, to keep up my French, and second, so any of my French-speaking friends from the mission can read it and correct my French if necessary (and I'm sure it will be).
Well, with those random notes, I'll quit now.
Until next time,
~David~
