End-of-May mission update

Hello one and all!

It's once again time for another Mission update from Elder Caudill! This one's gonna be shorter than usual because I don't have a lot of time today, but I'll be sending another one either next week or the week after, so it should all be good...

Anyway, first and foremost - we have a baptism this coming Sunday! Paula Tessier is being baptized by my companion, Elder Anderberg. She's 16 and has been investigating off and on for some time, and this time, her mother (who we are also teaching) gave her permission to be baptized! Her older sister has been a member for a while now, and we're also teaching one of her younger sisters, Serenitee Cadieux. We're very excited about the baptism! I'll be doing the confirmation on Sunday.

We do have another investigator who has set a baptismal date. Sean Weber (38) is going to be baptized on June 16. We watched "Finding Faith in Christ" with him on Friday and when he saw the scene with Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist, Sean decided that he wants to be baptized in a river as well. So, he's gonna be baptized in the Saint Lawrence River! He was stoked when we told him he could be baptized in the river. His sister, Lori, was baptized about a year and a half ago, and was less-active for a while until her brother started investigating and coming to church.

This Saturday after the baptism is transfer call night... I'm the "favorite (favourite)" to leave because I've been here since Halloween. I get the feeling that if I do leave, I'll be going to another "boonie" area, but in French... Rimouski is my guess LOL (it's way far away in eastern Quebec)!

Well, I think that's it for this fairly short mission update. We do have several other people we're meeting with, but I don't have any more time to write, so I'll have to write about them later.

I hope y'all have a great week and I hope to hear from you soon!

Take care,

Elder David Caudill
