Better late than never

I know this post is a day late, but I really don't care...

Like I said on Sunday, I have so much stuff to post! First, this weekend, I went with my parents up to Chicago so I could go to the temple. I have to say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. After going, now I understand why Betty Jo (oh, I mean Sister Solomon ^_^) said I should pray for a temple close to me when I'm on my mission. There is one in Montreal, but I don't know how close I'll be to Montreal while I'm gone. I do know that while I'm in the MTC, I'll be able to go to the Provo temple once a week, so that's cool. Anyway this weekend was great!

Also, on Sunday, I had to give a talk at both Anderson and Muncie. Apparently it was good, even though I was up until 4AM writing it. I'll admit I thought it was good too, but if I could do it again, I wouldn't have decided to look up every single scripture reference while I was giving it. Anyway, I had a lot of people tell me how much they enjoyed my talk. I'm glad I got the topic I did (missionary work) because it just helped to reaffirm that me going on a mission is the right thing for me to do.

Yeah I know I usually don't get that deep or whatever on here, but I just felt the need to do it this time.

Anyway, I've been very busy the past couple of weeks. I'm working full-time at McDonald's so I can earn enough money to pay off my credit card before I go (in 3 weeks from yesterday), and also so I'll have some extra money to take with me. Yesterday after I got home from work, I just chilled for a while and then went to Muncie for FHE. Despite my lack of talent in ping pong and volleyball (the 2 activities we did yesterday), I still had a great time. That's one thing I'm definitely gonna miss when I'm out on my mission.

Speaking of missing things... This morning, I had to go up to the board of health to get the first of 2 Hepatitis A shots I have to get for my mission. Since I had to be up there by 9, I got up around 7:30 or 8:00... I don't remember when exactly. I did manage to get there on time, then I went to McDonald's for breakfast and came back home. When I got home, I turned on the TV and watched my tape of the Torino Opening Ceremony, since I didn't watch it when it was on the other day. Basically I was looking for something to do between 10 (when I got home) and 11:45 (when I'd need to leave to go to Institute). Well, I guess I fell asleep because the next thing I know it's after 1:00... I'm still kinda upset about missing class since I haven't been in like a month. Oh well... I guess I needed the sleep because I've been pretty stressed lately because of work and stuff.

Well, Like I said, I've got just under 3 weeks before I leave. I think I'm gonna actually do something constructive now and pack some stuff that I won't need between now and the time I leave.

Until next time,

~David~

Current Media Experience: The 2006 Olympic Winter Games from Torino (They just finished the men's nordic combined)

Trenton R. Foust Memorial Quote of the Day: "Maybe you should go back to being a spectator." - I can't remember who said it, but it was said to me at FHE last night after I demonstrated how bad I was at ping pong. It was all in good fun though, so I decided not to cut myself or anything LOL
