Party time!!!
OK guys, this is gonna be another massively long post that only covers like a week's worth of stuff, but I'm sure some of you like that kind of thing...
The reason for the title of this post is my farewell party, but I'll get to that in a minute. Let's start with the weekend...
Saturday:
After work, I went up to Muncie to visit Brian and Victoria. We hung out at Brian's house for a while just playing Mario Kart and chilling. Oh, and Brian's brother was there too, and it turns out that Brian's brother is good friends with Jacob Jackson's brother, so that was kinda interesting, to me at least.
Anyway, once we were done playing Mario Kart, we went out to Steak and Shake to grab dinner. While we were there, we talked about random stuff that I can't even remember but it was still a lot of fun. That's basically it for Saturday.
Sunday:
Sunday was a busy day for me. I went to church for sacrament and sunday school class, but then left early so I could go get ready for Dan Floren's Eagle Court of Honor. Driving down there was an adventure, as it always is whenever I use Mapquest directions... Anyway, his ceremony was good, and getting to talk to him and several other camp people before I'm gone for 2 years was great! Oh, and Dan, if you read this, congrats again on getting Ecology Director! (that's a joke... if you don't get it, ask me).
After that was over, Luke, Steve Dunlap, and I headed up to Indy. They were going because of a Firecrafter meeting and I was going because Indy is halfway between Dan's Court of Honor and my house. Well since I didn't know where we were (we were on SR 135, which I had never driven on in my life), I decided to follow them instead of them being behind me. Anyway, the 3 of us went to Steak and Shake in Castleton and hung out there for a while, but then I had to leave because of a stake priesthood meeting in Muncie that started like 45 minutes from that point. Oh yeah, and we also had that strange waitress that Steve, Carney, and I had back in like October. Wow.
Anyway I did make it to the priesthood meeting like 20 minutes late, and still in my Scout uniform and jeans, but at least I was there. It was a great session, and after President Baker spoke about the importance of the Scouting program, I didn't feel nearly as awkward wearing my uniform in a room full of white shirts and ties.
Now, the rest of the week, I've pretty much devoted to work and that's about it. I'm trying my best to not let it stress me out, but I don't know. I do know that after tomorrow, I'm only scheduled for 3 days (a total of 15.5 hours) of work, and I'll probably either call in on Thursday or tell them I need to leave early, so that I'll have more time to get stuff together before I leave.
Oh, and now, about the party...
On Saturday, March 11, 2006, from 6:00-8:30 PM, I'll be having my missionary farewell party at the Anderson Ward building. If you want directions, email me or leave a comment...
Until next time,
~David~
Current Media Experience: yet another episode of Deep Space Nine. I'm finally on the last season!!!
Trenton R. Foust Memorial Quote of the Day: "I'm like long-distance: I'm 10 cents a minute!" - me, in reference to how much I make working at McDonald's. I make $6 an hour, which is $1 for 10 minutes, 10 cents for 1 minute, and 6 cents a second!

I may or may not have access to email while I'm gone... As for posting here... I'm setting up an account for my mom so that I can send stuff home for her to post for me.
