What are you talking about?

I just got back from spending the day at Camp K with my troop during the Winter Camporee. It was a lot of fun! Those guys are hilarious! In fact, because of what went on at the campout, I’ve decided to make a major change to the end-of-post stuff. I’ll get to that in a minute though. First, I want to post some of the best quotes from the day, which didn’t quite make it to the finals for the Quote of the Day. (again, more on this in a minute):

• Question on trivia challenge: “How many Merit Badges are there?”
  Michael Dawson: “7”
  (well, considering that you have to have 21 for Eagle… we assume he was thinking ranks instead of merit badges)
• “…and that was supposed to be funny.” – Tony VanWinkle, after retelling a story the younger Scouts found hilarious, after we realized that they’ll laugh at anything if Tony says it, no matter how not funny it is.
• “Do you guys do the mercenary position?” – Ben Fendel, asking about Tony and his girlfriend. We assumed he meant “missionary position”, but aren’t too sure.

1. "All trees die in the winter." - He said this when I told him that he wasn't allowed to kill any trees to build his shelter for Wilderness Survival.
2. "I'm your señor." - This was said when he was trying to get one of the younger Scouts to do something. He said he meant he had seniority, but you can't ever be sure.
3. "They cost like $400,000!" - He was talking about his house's energy-effecient windows.
4. "Kinda like Tony and his hammock." - We have no idea why he said this... all I could say after this was "douchechill!" (urbandictionary.com, if you don't know what that means).
