Breaking 100

Last night, I went bowling @ Cooper's with my Scout troop. I had a great time, even though my shoulder hurts today because of it. I guess I did alright considering that it was the first time I had bowled since my freshman orientation @ BSU last summer. I did manage to break 100 twice. OK the first time wasn't really breaking 100 because 100 was my score, but it was still a good time. I started out bowling against Tony, Trevor, and Matthew Dawson, but then Trevor and Matt switched lanes, so it was just Tony and me. Well then Tony left and Trent took over, and we bowled against each other for the rest of the time. My best score of the night was 109, which is good considering my average is about 80.

Before that, though, I went to Indy with Elizabeth and Chris. We drove to a comic store in Southport because I was looking to buy the Homestar Runner Other Things DVD, but they didn't have it yet. After that, we found the ultimate winner in the Wal*Mart parking lot game (where you go through the parking lot and count the number of magnetic ribbons and/or NASCAR decals on each vehicle and the person who finds the one with the most wins). Actually, Elizabeth found it. It was a red pickup truck, and the back window was covered with Dale Ernhart decals (I don't care if I spelled his name right or not.) All I can say is HE'S DEAD, GET OVER IT!!!! Stupid hicks.

After we left Southport, we went up to Castleton to Barnes & Noble. I bought a couple of bargain books and a They Might Be Giants CD. We also went to Best Buy, where I used the $15 gift card I bought myself to purchase the Rob Thomas CD. All in all, it was a great day!

Oh, I almost forgot... I'm once again looking for a job. This time, though, it's a temporary job, since I should be leaving for my mission in the next month or so. Still no word on when/where, but I'll keep y'all posted!

Until next time,

~David~

Current Media Experience: "A User's Guide to They Might Be Giants", a CD I bought yesterday.

Quote of the day: "It's meant for a 10-year-old, not a 6-foot-tall-year-old." - Trent Foust, explaining why the handle on his bowling bag is too short for him to use.
