Skiing mishap!!!
Well guys, today was the first time in my life that I've gone skiing. I went to Perfect North Slopes with my Scout troop. Let's just say it wasn't a very pleasant experience. I started out on the hill with the tow rope. It took me 3 tries to even make it up the rope without falling! Well after like 2 or 3 hours of lessons courtesy of Don Jones, I finally figured out how to slow down and stop. I also managed to turn decently while going down that hill. After a break, Don and I decided that I was ready for a regular hill (an easy hill, of course). That was a mistake... I fell like every 10 feet! There were blue marks all down the hill from where my jeans hit the snow. Since I kept landing on my right knee (the one I had to have surgery on a few years back), and Don took a rather nasty tumble, we both decided that it was time to stop. It was about 5 or 5:30, so we just went inside and talked with some of the others in our group until we left around 7:00. I don't know if I'll go skiing again anytime ever, but I do know I'm gonna be sore for a while. Oh, that reminds me... I need to take some Ibuprofen for it.
Oh, yeah, Christmas was good. I know it might seem backwards, but I'm gonna post about Christmas tomorrow since I'm exhausted and I want to go to bed.
Until next time,

Believe it or not, the skiing gets easier. It's just kind of hard to learn depending on what physical shape you're in and, more importantly, how good your balance is.
Take it from me. I used to be... a pretty bad skiier. :)
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I still don't know if I'll go skiing any time in the near future, but thanks all the same.
Oh, and I'm sure part, if not all, of my problem was due to the fact that I'm a big clumsy oaf that falls down a lot!
