Back to work
After a fun exciting vacation week, I'm now back @ beautiful Camp Ransburg for the rest of the summer. I've got some news about camp to post, but I'll get to that in a minute. First, I'm gonna talk about what I did last week (besides sleep and be lazy at home). The most exciting thing I did last week was go to King's Island with Elizabeth, Richard, and Brie. That drive is extremely tiring (it's like 2.5 hours each way) but I had a lot of fun. Everyone else did too, I think. Like I said, that was the highlight of my week. I also went to BSU to get a place to live (and park) in the fall, and did some other random stuff, but Thursday was the best.
As for life here at camp, that's been interesting the past couple of days. First, my troop's down here, so that's cool. Also, when I got down here on Sunday, I was asked if I wanted to work in the trading post this week instead of Eagle Quest since the trading post was understaffed. I accepted, of course, because it seemed like a nice change of pace. Sunday night before the campfire, though, I was asked a new question: I was asked if I would like to work in the trading post for the rest of the summer. After taking some time to think about it, I decided to accept the switch. Trading Post is so much less stressful than Eagle Quest! I really like it a lot, and now, I'm gonna be able to drive camp vehicles! Okay, it's just the golf cart, but it's better than nothing...
Anyway, I've got to go for now. It's 5:00 which means dinner's in 15 minutes, and I still need to change into my uniform.
Until next time,
~David~
