Cleveland Rocks!
Well I know it's been a while since I've posted anything significant on this thing, and as a result of constant nagging by certain people, I'm gonna post something now.
Right now I'm enjoying my spring break! Yes, I know it's not spring yet, but I guess Ball State doesn't know that. Anyway, my mom and I decided to go to Cleveland to celebrate my time off. Yesterday we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which was really cool. I got to see Michael Jackson's infamous glove! We also went to the Great Lakes Science Center, which really wasn't that interesting, except for the IMAX movie we watched about Stomp. That was fun. Oh, we actually did the science thing first. After the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, we went to eat dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. I ordered the grilled chicken fajitas, and they were very good. We also got to rock out to the music videos! I got to bust out my Avril voice hehehe...
Oh, I just realized I forgot to talk about the weekend @ the percussion contest. That was about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, what happened was, on Friday night, Richard and I went to Late Night at Ball State and did something... (the official policy on that Late Night is that it never happened). Before you ask, no, it wasn't anything kinky or something like that... Then we went back to my dorm and played video games forever LOL. On Saturday we drove up to Norwell only to find out that the schedule had been changed so that instead of the contest starting @ 4:00 and PHHS going like 2nd, the contest didn't start until 5:00, and PHHS had been bumped to Open class, which meant that they wouldn't be going until like 9:30. Luckily we had a hotel room, so we went and just hung out there for a while before driving back to the contest. Long story short, PHHS won in Open Concert class, partially because they were the only ones in the class LOL. Their show was awesome, though, and I just checked scores from state prelims this past weekend and saw that they got 2nd place. That's not too shabby at all.
Anyway, I've got to go for now. We're getting ready to check out of the hotel, so I've gotta pack up my lappy.
Until next time,
~David~
