I told you I'd post...
Well guys, I told you I'd post when I got my housing information, so that's what I'm doing now. Unfortunately, I didn't get put where I wanted to be put. I will be living in Clevenger Hall in LaFollette. I wanted to be somewhere in Johnson (preferably Botswin), but whatever... I'll still be on campus next semester!
Second, and this is awful news, I most likely lost my Presidential Scholarship. I got a D in my French History class, which drops my GPA to 2.866. In order to keep the scholarship, I have to have a 3.0 GPA. Fortunately I can get it back if my GPA during the spring semester is 3.0, but for right now, money's gonna be an EXTREME issue. I recently received a $6400 loan check, which was supposed to cover just the room and board, and leave me with bunches of extra money left over to pay for my computer, 6 months of car insurance, etc. Now, since the loan has to cover everything, it only leaves me with a little over $900 to buy books, etc. I'm still in the process of making sure that my grades are accurate, but so far, it looks like they are, and I'm just screwed over.
Third, with all this cursed snow, I'm not gonna be able to work until sometime late next week. I'm going to visit my aunt and grandma over in Ohio with my family, and we're gonna be gone most of next week. To top it all off, I still don't have a new job, and I haven't had time to call back the places where I've already turned in applications. I guess I'll come up with some other way to earn money. Is prostitution legal in Ohio? Just kidding :)
