Time to move on
I just don't know what to do about my job situation right now...
It seems that I was finally getting used to McDonald's, but, as time progressed, I began to hate it more and more. OK so I didn't really hate the job itself. It's just that they could NEVER do my schedule right. I'd turn in my requests for days off when I was supposed to, and they'd still schedule me to work those days. And now, when I want to be taken off the regular schedule, I tell them that yesterday was going to be my last day. And what do they do? They schedule me for Friday and Saturday of next week. I guess that's what I get for taking a job I didn't really want to begin with.
I don't really want to quit entirely because once my job helping the band is over in October, I'll need something to fall back on. My mom says I should just focus on schoolwork for now, but since I want to live on campus in the spring (now actually), I've got to save like $5,000. Oh well, such is life I guess.
As for college, it's going great! My classes are a lot more enjoyable than I thought they'd be. The instructors are fun, and I'm starting to make some new friends. Of course, I still see familiar faces around campus. The strange thing is, they don't seem to see me, and when I see them, I'm always on my way to go somewhere and don't have time to say hi. Today I saw Sox and Daniel Miller. I saw Sox after I got done eating and I saw Daniel when I was on the shuttle headed back to the parking lot. At least I have email addresses for both of them so I can get in touch with them if I want to. Oh well.
Thursday was fun because I got to spend the night on campus. I stayed with Brandon Parks and his roommate. I was supposed to go to the football game with Brie but she was really sore from rugby so we just chilled in her room and played cards. It was still a great time.
Well it's getting late and I've got a paper to finish in the morning. For those of you who actually read this, please pass the address along to all of your friends that know me. Feel free to comment on any post you like/dislike/whatever.
Thanks!
